Getting started with QuickSEO

QuickSEO is a Google Search Console dashboard for all your websites. You sign in, connect Search Console, choose which properties to add, and every one of them gets its own dashboard plus a card on a shared overview. This guide walks through each screen in the order you'll meet it.

Open the sign-in page and pick one of two ways in:

  • Continue with Google. Google asks for your basic profile and for read-only access to Search Console. Keep the Search Console box ticked and your account is connected in the same step — you go straight to choosing websites.
  • Continue with Email. We email you a 6-digit code; enter it on the Check your email screen and click Verify. Email accounts connect Search Console in a separate step, described next.

Connect Google Search Console

If you signed in with email, or unticked the Search Console permission on Google's screen, QuickSEO shows a Connect Google Search Console card instead of your websites. Click the button, choose the Google account that has access to your Search Console properties, and approve read-only access.

QuickSEO only ever reads: the card says Read-only — we never change your Search Console, and the permission we ask Google for is the read-only Search Console scope.

If something goes wrong on Google's screen, you land back on the same card with a short note. Cancelling says that nothing was connected; unticking Search Console asks you to tick it next time, because without it there is nothing to read.

Pick your websites

Once connected, the Choose websites to add list shows every Search Console property your Google account can access, and each one you add becomes a website in QuickSEO.

  • Domain and URL-prefix properties both work. Each row is labelled Domain or URL prefix and shows your permission level (Owner, Full or Restricted). A Domain property covers every subdomain and both http and https; a URL-prefix property covers only the addresses that start with that prefix.
  • Unverified properties are hidden. If your Google account is listed on a property but isn't verified for it, you can't read its data, so it isn't offered. The list says how many were hidden, for example "2 properties hidden — your Google account isn't verified for them in Search Console."
  • Everything is selected on the first visit. Use Select all and Select none to change that, or untick individual rows. With more than ten properties a Filter properties box appears.

Click Add websites (it reads Add 3 websites with three selected) and you land on the overview. If Search Console lists no properties at all, add and verify your website in Google Search Console first, then come back.

All websites overview

All websites — in the website menu at the top of the sidebar — shows one card per website with its clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, each with its change against the previous period of the same length, and a small chart of clicks and impressions.

The date range at the top applies to every card at once — from Last 7 Days up to Last 3 Years — and hovering a change shows the period it is measured against. The range you pick is remembered and is also what a website's own dashboard opens with. Click any card to open that website's dashboard. With more than eight websites, a Filter websites box appears.

A card can also tell you it has nothing to show yet: No Search Console property linked, Google access lost (see reconnecting Google), or Couldn't load with a Retry button when Search Console didn't answer.

Search Console itself reports with a delay of about two days, so the most recent days in any range are usually still empty. That lag is Google's, and it is the same in Search Console.

A website's dashboard

Each website's dashboard is the place to go deeper. Its header holds the branded filter, the date range, and a gear icon for Website settings.

Chart

The performance chart starts with Clicks and Impressions switched on. The toggles above it add or remove CTR, % and Position, and the same switches decide which columns the tables below show.

Keywords, pages, countries and devices

Below the chart are three cards and the technical SEO audit:

  • Keywords — the search queries behind your traffic.
  • Pages and Page Groups — one card with two tabs. Page groups are on the paid plan, see page groups.
  • Countries and Devices — one card with two tabs.

Each card's Filter menu has a Trend section — All, Growing or Decaying — showing what gained or lost the most clicks against the previous period. The Keywords card also has a Pattern section for narrowing to kinds of queries, such as questions or queries of a certain length. View All opens the full list.

Filters

Clicking a country or a device filters the whole dashboard to it. Every active filter shows as a chip above the chart, such as Keyword: running shoes or Device: Mobile; click a chip to remove it, or Clear all when there's more than one.

Detail drawers

Clicking a keyword, a page or a page group opens a drawer on the right instead of leaving the dashboard. It shows clicks, impressions, CTR and position for that one item, a chart of its clicks, and the related list — the top pages for a keyword, or the top keywords for a page or a page group. Filter dashboard in the drawer's header filters the whole dashboard to that item.

Branded vs non-branded

The All, Branded and Non-branded switch in a website's header splits searches for your brand from everything else. A keyword counts as branded when it contains one of the website's branded terms.

When a website is added, QuickSEO fills in branded terms from its domain — my-shop.com starts with my-shop, my shop and myshop. Terms shorter than three characters are skipped because they would match too many queries. Edit them in the Branded Terms card of the website's settings. If a website has no branded terms, the header shows a Configure branded terms link in place of the switch.

Page groups

Page groups are on the paid plan. A page group is a set of pages matched by URL, such as everything under /blog, and it gets its own clicks, impressions and trend, just like a single page.

To create one, open the Page Groups tab on the website's dashboard and click Add group. Give the group a name, then add one or more filters — URL contains, URL equals, URL doesn't contain or URL doesn't equal — with an expression such as /blog. A page has to match every filter in the group. Click Add group to save.

The tab also suggests groups from your site's top-level folders, such as /blog/ or /docs/, shown as greyed rows: the plus button adds one, the cross dismisses it. On the free plan the tab shows a preview and an Unlock page groups button instead.

Technical SEO audit

Every website gets a technical SEO audit when it's added, and again every week, on every plan. It reads the homepage, robots.txt, the sitemap and a sample of pages, and runs 26 checks across crawlability, indexation, on-page SEO, structured data and AI crawler access in robots.txt.

The Technical SEO Audit card on the dashboard shows the latest score and how many checks are critical, how many are warnings and how many passed. View report — or Technical SEO Audit in the sidebar — opens the full audit: the category breakdown, every issue with its fix, and the score over time. Re-run audit runs it again whenever you like.

Adding and removing websites

Add websites at the top of the overview opens Add or manage websites: the same property list, with the websites you already have marked Added. Tick new properties and click Add websites to add them.

To remove a website, click the bin icon on its row and confirm. Removing deletes the website's page groups and audit history from QuickSEO; your Search Console data is not affected, and you can add the website again at any time. Delete site in the Danger Zone card of a website's settings does the same.

Reconnecting Google

If Google access expires or is revoked — for example after you remove QuickSEO from your Google account's permissions — QuickSEO can no longer read your data. Each card on the overview then says Google access lost with a Reconnect Google button, and the property list shows Reconnect Google Search Console. Reconnecting takes you through the same Google screen as before; your websites, page groups and branded terms are kept.

MCP

The paid plan includes an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor and other MCP-compatible AI agents can read your Search Console data and SEO audits for you. It has eight read-only tools, and each one works on one website at a time. Setup and the tool list are in the MCP server docs.

Plans

The free plan includes everything on this page except page groups and the MCP server: unlimited websites, every dashboard, keywords, pages, countries and devices, growing and decaying lists, the branded filter and the weekly technical SEO audit. No card is needed.

The paid plan adds page groups and the MCP server. New customers get a 14-day trial, once per customer: the card is collected at checkout and isn't charged during the trial, and you can cancel anytime from your account's billing settings. See pricing for the details.
