FAQ
How accurate are SEO forecasts?
SEO forecasts are estimates, not guarantees. Use them for planning and goal-setting. The scenario analysis tab helps account for uncertainty by modeling best and worst cases. Track actuals against projections and refine your assumptions over time.
What data do I need to create an SEO forecast?
You need current organic traffic (from Google Analytics), keyword rankings and search volumes (from Google Search Console or an SEO tool), and historical growth rates. For ROI calculations, you also need conversion rates and average order value.
How do I estimate click-through rates for different positions?
General CTR benchmarks: Position 1 gets ~28% CTR, positions 2-3 get ~15%, positions 4-10 get ~2-5%. These vary by industry and SERP features. Use your own Search Console data for more accurate estimates.
Should I present one scenario or multiple?
Present three scenarios (conservative, moderate, aggressive) to stakeholders. Lead with the moderate scenario as the most likely, but show the range of outcomes. This builds credibility and manages expectations.
