Brand Terms

Brand terms are the keywords that identify your brand. QuickSEO uses them to separate branded from non-branded search traffic in your Search Analytics.

What Are Brand Terms?

A brand term is any word or phrase that, when present in a search keyword, means the user was specifically looking for your brand. For example, if your company is "QuickSEO," your brand terms might include:

  • "quickseo"
  • "quick seo"
  • "quickseo.ai"

Any keyword containing one of these terms (case-insensitive) is classified as a branded keyword. Everything else is non-branded.

Adding Brand Terms

  1. Go to your site's Settings page (click the gear icon in the top-right of your dashboard)
  2. Find the Branded Terms card
  3. Type a term in the input field and click + to add it
  4. Repeat for all variations
  5. Click Save

QuickSEO suggests your domain name as a starting point.

What to Include

Be thorough — think about how users might search for your brand:

  • Exact brand name — "quickseo"
  • Spaced variations — "quick seo"
  • Domain name — "quickseo.ai"
  • Common misspellings — "quikseo," "quickceo"
  • Product names — if you have named products or features
  • Abbreviations — if people commonly shorten your brand name

Removing Brand Terms

Click the X on any brand term badge to remove it, then click Save. The branded/non-branded classification updates immediately across your Search Analytics.

How It Affects Search Analytics

Once you've set up brand terms, the Branded vs Non-Branded filter becomes available on your Search Analytics page. This lets you toggle between all traffic, branded traffic only, and non-branded traffic only.
