Cited Pages
Some AI platforms cite specific URLs when answering questions. QuickSEO tracks which of your pages get cited, by which platforms, and how often.
| Page | Chatbots | Trend | Citations |
|---|---|---|---|
| /blog/best-walking-shoes | +50% | 18 | |
| /size-guide | -47% | 14 | |
| /blog/sustainable-shoes | +20% | 11 | |
| /products/running-shoes | +33% | 7 |
How It Works
When AI platforms like Perplexity, Gemini, or others include source links in their responses, QuickSEO captures any citations pointing to your domain. This happens automatically from your existing tracked prompts.
Viewing Cited Pages
From your AI Analytics dashboard, the Cited Pages card shows your most-cited pages. For the full view, look at the citations section which shows:
- Page URL — the specific page on your site that was cited
- Platform — which AI platforms cited it
- Citation count — how many times this page has been cited
- Trend — whether citations are increasing or decreasing over time
Pages are sorted by citation count so you can quickly identify your highest-authority content in AI search.
What Citations Tell You
Cited pages are your most valuable content for AI visibility. These are the pages that AI platforms trust enough to reference as sources. Understanding which pages earn citations helps you:
- Double down on what works — create more content similar to your most-cited pages
- Identify content gaps — if important pages aren't being cited, they may need more depth or authority
- Cross-reference with GSC — compare which pages AI cites vs. which pages rank in Google. The overlap is often surprisingly small

Citation Trends
Watch your citation trends over time. If a page suddenly loses citations, investigate what changed — the content may be outdated, or a competitor may have published something better.
